NCCP Course Registration Information
NCCP Courses
Register for all upcoming NCCP Courses and Events
- Coaches must be 15 or 16 years old as of the start of the course* see below
- All coaches must have an NCCP number -How to obtain an NCCP#
- To receive the GNS Full member course fee, registrants must have be a member in good standing with GNS (which means the coach has a current and valid coach membership). For out-of province or non member registrations please contact gnscoach@sportnovascotia.ca
- Please note the prerequisites below for each course, it is the responsibility of each coach and their club to ensure that the prerequisites are met, individual course registrations are not screened. Coaches who register for a course that they are not entitled to take, may not receive credit and your registration fee will not be refunded.
- Course Structure:
- Gymnastics Foundations (GF) is comprised of a minimum of 3 separate modules (you need to register for all three to be a trained Foundations coach)
- Foundations Theory (online)
- Foundations Introduction
- Foundations Artistic, Trampoline or Active Start.
- Must be 15 years old at the start of the course and have taken the Emergency Action Plan - eLearning module - accessed only through your Locker profile. ** You will not be credited as a 'Trained' Foundations coach until this module is complete, there will no longer be reminder emails sent to Foundations coaches.
- Competition Introduction (C1) is comprised of
- Comp Intro Theory
- Comp Intro WAG, MAG or TG
- Must be 16 years old and fully Foundations trained in the specific discipline.
- Advanced Coach Training including Competition Intro Advanced (C2), Competition Development (C3) and NCCP Level 3 TG may be offered by the discipline committees or individual clubs as needed, or coaches may attend courses offered in other provinces. Please contact your club and committee representative for more information.
